UMPI welcomes new staff members

The University of Maine at Presque Isle welcomed four new staff members during the Spring 2023 semester.

Cole Brown, Professional Academic Advisor. A graduate from the University of Maine at Orono with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Brown will be working with and mentoring students throughout their academic career. He brings with him a familiarity with Brightspace, MaineStreet, and spreadsheets.

Dylan Elliott, Facilities Maintenance Worker. Elliott brings a strong background in detailing work, particularly in automotives. He enjoys volunteering at Aroostook State Park and has won awards through SkillsUSA in the areas of Job Skill Demonstration and Welding Sculpture.

Kristjian “KG” Gavrilovski, Admissions Specialist. Coming all the way from Macedonia, Gavrilovski holds a Master’s degree in Sport Business with an Athletics Administration Concentration. An UMPI alum, he is often on the road promoting UMPI’s academic programs to students from all levels of varying high schools throughout the state and New England as well as leading interviews and tours with prospective students.

Alan Watson Blaisdell, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Blaisdell joins UMPI with an OSHA certification and also has an extensive background that includes safety, compliance, managing various teams, and communications. He is currently working on his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration through Husson University.

The following part-time faculty also have joined campus since Fall 2022: Jacob Bethem, Shawn Guerrette, Alan Perry, Josephine Reimnitz, Elizabeth Reyes-Fournier, Mark Robinson, and Vickie VanHurley.
