Enjoy a night of laughs when the University of Maine at Presque Isle presents comedian Hailey Boyle—named one of New York’s top 10 funniest comics at The New York Comedy Festival—on Friday Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Auditorium in Wieden Hall. The show is free, open to the public, and is rated R.

A 6’2’ comedian both versatile and tenacious, Boyle entertains any and every audience she encounters. Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, Boyle moved to Manhattan in 2004 and has since performed at prestigious Just For Laughs Festival, Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Festival.

She has been featured on TBS’ list of 101 funniest working comics in the world, in the UK entertainment magazine The List, and by the New York Daily News. She’s made several guest appearances on Sirius Satellite Radio including on Opie & Anthony, Jackie’s Joke Hunt, and Breuer Unleashed, and has been featured in videos on funnyordie.com.

She’s also appeared in movies and on television, in the TV comedy series StandUp In Stilettos and in the movie About Last Night with Kevin Hart.

While she tours clubs, colleges, and casinos all over the country, Boyle has also made time to entertain American soldiers on duty in the Bahamas, Greenland, and Central America.
