Registrar’s Office

The Registrar’s Office takes pride in providing quality service to our students. We’re here to ensure that you meet all the requirements of your degree so that when employers or graduate schools contact us for verification, we can give them a true answer.

Helping you to register for classes is only one of the services we provide. We also produce transcripts, offer veterans’ services, and process transfer evaluation and changes of major/declaration of minor forms. We furnish course information (course descriptions and prerequisites), as well as information about our graduation policy. Students who plan to complete degree requirements in December or May of any academic year need to submit an Application for Degree form to our office the November before their graduation; please contact us for details about this.

A newer feature we offer for our students is a text messaging service that allows them to receive instant notification when their grades are posted to MaineStreet. Students can register for this service within the myUMPI Portal.

We also work closely with Student Financial Services–conveniently located directly across the hall–to provide you with a dedicated student services entity. Our top priority is to help students get as much of their University “business” done in one spot as we can–and to do it as quickly and efficiently as possible.
