The premier club on campus to get you outside, movin’, shakin’ and meeting new people!
The UMPI Outing Club at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (formerly known as OAPI) hosts a wide selection of events throughout the year. These events range from day trips rock climbing, to hiking and overnight adventures around Maine and New England.
Our club is unique in that these events are available to students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Please take a moment to view our Past Events page for previous Outing Club activities to get a better idea of what we have to offer!

Everyone is invited to join us! We meet Thursday afternoons during the academic year, at 1 p.m. in the Outing Club office in Gentile Hall (look for specific dates below).

Gear
UMPI Students:
FREE use of gear for UMPI students…thanks to the financial support of our Student Senate. For more information, contact the Outing Club office at 768-9401 or visit us in Gentile Hall. Must must have a current and validated student ID.
Non-Students:
We rent gear to faculty, staff and community members at unbeatable prices. For more information on equipment, rental fees and policies, please click on the Equipment Rental Price and Information Sheet link below, or contact the Outing Club office at 768-9401.
