The Grand Ballroom is 84′ by 46′. It can be split into 3 smaller rooms (St. John on the left, the Aroostook in the center, and the Allagash on the right) with dimensions of roughly 28′ by 46′ each. Any combination of the three rooms is acceptable. The Grand Ballroom holds 275 chairs theater style, or 180 chairs with tables, either seminar or dining style.
The St. John room, room 202, is the north room. It has a 12′ tall arched picture window that overlooks the campus. Part of this room contains curtained storage so that the usable space is somewhat smaller than the other two rooms. Conversely, the curtained areas are on either side of the window for a nice framing effect. Because of this, many events choose to use a stage in this room and spotlights have been installed in the ceiling. This room holds approximately 80 chairs theater style, or 45 chairs with 6 tables, either seminar or dining style.
The Aroostook room, room 203, is the center room. Instead of a picture window, this room has a lovely balcony that overlooks a masonry patio below, the Campus Center lawn and two of the residence halls. This room holds approximately 100 chairs theater style, or 60 chairs with 8 tables, either seminar or dining style.
The Allagash room, room 204, is the southern most room. It also has a 12′ tall arched picture window, facing UMPI’s farm. In the summer, the potato fields are quite picturesque. This room also holds approximately 100 chairs theater style, or 60 chairs with 8 tables, either seminar or dining style.
Our Alumni Room has a seating capacity of 10 chairs with tables. This room is normally set in a hollow oval such as in a boardroom setting. A built-in projector screen has been installed for use with audio-visual equipment.
The Top of the Stairs Space is located on the second floor of the Campus Center. The normal setting is 6 with just chairs or 3 with a table and chairs.
