As a non-profit higher education institution, UMPI relies on donations from alumni and friends—including employees—to support our academic departments, student scholarships, research, and other needs campus-wide. One hundred percent of your gift to UMPI will directly support the people and programs you see in action every day!
WHY SHOULD I GIVE TO UMPI?
UMPI needs the support of employees, like you, in addition to alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations to continue its mission and achieve its strategic goals. It is an extremely powerful message to current and potential donors when faculty and staff also support the University and donate annually.
WILL MY GIFT TRULY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
If your gift is meaningful to you, it is meaningful to us. Every gift, regardless of size, matters and sends an extremely powerful message that employees believe in the University and are dedicated to its legacy of academic excellence and supporting student success.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE?
When deciding how much to donate to UMPI, make sure to keep in mind what is reasonable in your situation and how much you feel you can contribute while still meeting your financial obligations.
HOW WILL MY DONATION BE USED AND CAN I DESIGNATE THE DONATION?
Employee gifts support a wide variety of initiatives, student scholarships and programs across the entire campus. You can choose from several designations in the Faculty/Staff Campaign, including the area of greatest need, athletic teams, Wieden Auditorium, Zillman Family Greenhouse or scholarships already created (visit https://newsite.umpi.edu/offices/student-financial-services/financial-aid/scholarships/ for more detail on the scholarships).
HOW CAN I MAKE MY GIFT TO UMPI?
As an employee, the easiest way to give is to use the form to sign up for payroll deductions or a one time gift of cash or check. You can also donate online, using a credit card, at umpi.edu/donate, or you can stop by the President’s Office and see Debbie Roark to make your gift.
HOW WILL I BE RECOGNIZED FOR MY GIFT?
Employee donors who make their gift by the end of the Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign will be recognized during the all-employee celebration in March unless they request to remain anonymous. Employee donors who do not wish to remain anonymous may also be recognized during other events at various times of the year.
