Belle Isle Books publishes Zuras’ fourth book

University of Maine at Presque Isle Professor of English and Creative Writing Richard Lee Zuras has a new book—his fourth—that will be released on Dec. 7. Mining Your Past: A Creative Writing Professor’s Guide: Writing Stories, Poetry, & Song Lyrics, published by Belle Isle Books, will be available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Reed Gallery presents Warhol Revisited

The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Art Gallery will present Warhol Revisited, a selection from its collection of original artworks by renowned American artist Andy Warhol, from Dec. 2, 2022, to Jan. 27, 2023. The exhibition will feature black-and-white photographs, Polaroids, and original screen prints.

UMPI receives 4 top rankings from U.S. News

Officials at the University of Maine at Presque Isle are pleased to announce that the institution earned four top rankings on U.S. News and World Report’s 2023 Best Colleges list. In this year’s annual rankings, UMPI was named among the top tier of Best Regional Colleges in the North, the 20 Top Public Schools in the North, the top 10 Regional Colleges in the North for graduates with least debt, and the top 30 Regional Colleges in the North for Social Mobility.

UMPI hosts “The Heart of Aroostook” event
